Authenticity & Product Information

Last updated: 7 November 2026

Since 1955 Nabi Furriers has worked with natural fur in Pakistan. Its pieces are documented so that you know what you are buying.

Our commitment

We describe each piece by the fur it is made from and the quality designation printed on its label, and we answer questions about it openly. We do not describe our products with certifications or claims we cannot document.

The documentation of a piece

  • Certificate of Authenticity — issued by the house for a piece where one is provided; not every piece is accompanied by an individual certificate. It describes the item, records the name of the client it is issued to, the date and a signature, and certifies the piece as an authentic, natural fur product selected and crafted by Nabi Furriers.
  • Identification label — sewn into the garment. It states 100% real fur and Pakistan as the country of origin, explains the natural variation of fur and gives care and storage instructions.
  • Quality label — names the fur and its designation: purple for mink (“Purple Quality · Superior Grade”), silver for fox (“Platinum Quality · Superior Grade”). These are Nabi Furriers' own designations, not third-party certifications.
  • Hang tag and swing tag — carry the NF emblem, “Nabi Furriers · Est. 1955 · Pakistan”, care instructions and a barcode beneath “Scan for authenticity”.

You can examine specimens of these documents — marked VOID — in the Archive.

Natural variation

Slight differences in colour and in the texture of the hair tips from pelt to pelt are the mark of genuine fur — never a flaw.

Caring for fur

  • Professional fur cleaning only — never wash, bleach, iron or tumble dry.
  • Keep it away from moisture, humidity and heat; store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
  • Hang it on a broad-shouldered hanger, in a breathable garment bag — never in plastic.
  • Keep perfume and hairspray away from the fur.

More guidance is in the NF Fur Guide.
